Village Hall Manager
Thakeham Village Hall is managed by Thakeham Village Hall Trust supported by a team of two Hall Managers. After over five years one of the Hall Managers is moving on and the Trust is seeking to replace them.
It is looking for an individual to encourage and support members of the local community to get the most out of the facilities the Hall has to offer.
That individual should have a flexible and personable approach and the ability to work on their own initiative to ensure the Hall is a welcoming venue, well used and maintained to a high standard. IT skills are important as is good attention to detail.
Key tasks include:

Marketing the Village Hall’s facilities and maintaining the website.

Scheduling and administering bookings including communicating with users concerning entry and invoicing.

Being the first point of contact for potential and current hirers giving high quality service and support.

Ensuring any required maintenance is carried out using external contractors with the necessary skills including managing our third-party cleaners.

Maintaining our IT systems.

Liaising with Thakeham Village Hall Trust through the Chairman.

Supporting the the Parish Council in managing use of the playing field.
This role is for 2.5 hours a day for two mornings a week, currently Mondays and Thursdays, of which at least 2 hours should be spent in the Hall.
It pays £14.68 an hour and includes 12 days paid holiday.
