About the event
Ben Waters is recognised as one of the UK’s supreme boogie piano players having worked with The Rolling Stones, Ray Davies, Chuck Berry, Jools Holland, Jerry Lee Lewis, Shakin’ Stevens, Screaming Lord Sutch, PJ Harvey, Amy Macdonald, Bobby Womack, Mick Hucknall, Charlie Watts, The Ronnie Wood Band, Paul Weller, Dave Gilmore, Dave Stewart, The Teenagers, Nine Below Zero and many more.
Ben and his son, Tom, have been a regular visitors to Coolham and have never failed to sell out well in advance. This year Ben has decided to stop touring after many years of gigging 250 times a year But not before completing an extensive farewell tour, both at home and abroad. Fortunately, Ben has been a a long term friend of Graeme and he has agreed to play our venue twice this year before he retires from regular gigging.
For this gig, Ben will open with Tom on sax, as a duo. After the interval, Ben and Tom will return and introduce their band for the evening, made up of friends - Marcus Praestgaard Stevens on guitar, Ian Jennings on bass and Anmol Moharaon drums.
